The Children's Ministry exists to help parents and children to grow in Christ as a family and to establish a biblical vision of how a godly family should think, worship and function.
Expectant Mothers
Whether it’s your first or fifth, be sure to contact the church office at 236.9137 to let us know! It is our sincere desire to come along side you during this exciting season of life and pray for you as well as line up meals for after your baby arrives.
We can also help you with information regarding Baptism. If you are interested in knowing more about infant baptism or simply just need to schedule your baby’s baptism, please contact the church office.
Nursery
Newborns are lovingly cared for by trained volunteers. Our “cradle nursery” is a warm, welcoming place for nursing moms and their babies!
Children
Growing kids in Christ and equipping them to serve.
In Children's Ministry we seek to partner with families in shepherding children in a maturing faith (Head, Heart, Hands), equipping them for works of ministry to walk in the truth by faith.
2 & 3 year olds: Available Sunday mornings during both Sunday School and Worship. An age appropriate lesson is provided during the Sunday School hour.
Pre-K to 5th grade: This ministry is the backbone of the children’s program. Here the child receives instruction in the basics of the faith from caring and involved teachers.
In Children's Ministry, we join with the session of the church for the purpose of making committed disciples of Christ who Worship God, Grow in Community, Love Others, and Serve the World.
Christ is the center of all that we do and teach. We have 6 core values that guide us in making disciples, that our ministries will be characterized by the following:
-
Biblically Sound ~ That the entire curriculum we teach to all ages of our children is God-centered, with Reformed doctrine and theology.
- Child Targeted ~ That we make sure we are teaching the curriculum in a way that speaks to the children appropriately and relevantly.
- Relevant ~ That the lessons are relevant to the lives and times of the children we teach.
- Uniquely Gifted Volunteers ~ We have volunteers serving in areas where they are both gifted and passionate, whether that is working directly with our children or serving behind the scenes.
- Intentional Shepherding ~ We strive to intentionally build relationships with the children in small group settings that show the love of Jesus to all of our children.
- Safe and Secure ~ We have policies in place and enforced to ensure the safety of our children as well as making sure that their environment, and even the toys they play with, are safe and age appropriate.
